YOUR THERAPIST,
Camille Maruccia
Westchester, New York
I specialize in helping women struggling with the balance of family & work.
You’re trying to do it all, but you can’t help but feel like you’re struggling. You feel anxious, inadequate, and ashamed for not being able to “just deal with it.” You don’t want to burden your friends, but you know that something needs to change.
That’s where I come in. I help women like you make sense of your feelings, find patterns in your experiences, and find a better path forward.
I help you feel good about yourself and your relationships.
I bring a compassionate approach to therapy that invites you to be honest, trustworthy, and loving toward yourself and others. Combining insight into how your lived experiences affect current patterns in your life with therapy approaches, including psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapy, we support you in uncovering hidden past dynamics that impact your happiness and well-being so that you can live a more fulfilling life.
I AM HERE TO HELP
With over 30 years of trained experience
Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a journalist writing a number of human interest pieces. This sparked my passion and curiosity about the human experience and inspired a career change.
From there, I trained as a social worker in the Columbia University MSW program and graduated in 1992. I also trained as a psychoanalyst at the Contemporary Freudian Society where I am a Supervising and Training Analyst for the institute. I wrote a chapter in A Contemporary Approach to Clinical Supervision, The Supervisee Perspective Chapter 6 Embarking on the Journey of Psychoanalytic Supervision: The Supervisor as the Fixer.
Now, my private practice is dedicated to helping adults in all stages of life have fulfilling careers and relationships.
I encourage curiosity in the problems
to identify what is holding you back.
I value honesty, trust, and patience in this work. The relationship with the therapist is often the most important vehicle to change your thoughts and patterns. It is a safe environment to learn more about yourself.
